To Jason's friends and Family:
You've probably never heard of me as I
never had the opportunity to meet
Jason. However, I know Melissa from
High School and have been deeply
touched by their story.
Currently, I live and work in Charlotte
NC, working in the mortgage industry for
EquiFirst Corporation. EquiFirst has
600+ employees in the Charlotte area.
Our company executives recently
created an employee run volunteer
outreach program. I am a member of
the Health Outreach team. Today, we
came to an agreement that EquiFirst will
participate in The Light The Night Walk in
Charlotte on September 17th! EquiFirst
has never been involved in this
particular fundraising event. We feel
that many other walk-a-thons already
have big, local corporate sponsors and
we wanted to get involved where our
company could truly make a difference.
We also plan for our employee
volunteers to donate in other ways to
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Often times in this life, we simply don't
realize how our life and struggles can
touch other people. I wanted you to
know how Jason's story made an impact
on me and now is going to impact
hundreds of my fellow employees! In
turn, we hope to raise lots of money so
that his life will continue to postively
touch others.
